Fried Frank Continues to Build M&A and Private Equity Practice with the Addition of Andrew Rearick in London

Fried Frank announced today that Andrew Rearick will join the firm as a partner in the M&A and Private Equity Practice, based in London. He will join Fried Frank from Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where he currently serves as an international counsel in the private equity practice.
Rearick advises private equity firms, their portfolio companies and other institutional investors on a full range of cross-border transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, in Europe, North America and emerging markets. He is one of Europe’s leading advisers on general partner (GP)-led transactions, having advised secondaries fund sponsors and sovereign wealth funds on some of the largest and most high-profile continuation fund transactions, fund recapitalizations and restructurings, tender offers and fund-level preferred equity investments. Of recent, he advised Clayton, Dubilier & Rice on the sale of its investment in Belron, a worldwide leader in vehicle glass repair and replacement, valued at €21 billion. Rearick also regularly advises on asset management deals, such as GP-staking transactions and acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures involving asset management businesses.

Rearick is the latest in a string of recent senior M&A and private equity additions in London. His announcement follows those of Rachel Wolfenden, who recently joined the firm, and James Renahan, who will join the firm soon. Wolfenden has led on some of Europe’s market-leading private equity transactions, and Renahan is one of London’s leading private equity lawyers, with more than 20 years of experience in complex cross-border M&A and private equity transactions.
