Fried Frank Attorneys Honored by Legal Aid Society

Pro bono counsel Jennifer L. Colyer was honored by The Legal Aid Society as the recipient of the 2022 Public Interest Law Leadership Award for extraordinary service to The Legal Aid Society and its clients. Each year, this award is presented to a leader in the pro bono community whose partnership with Legal Aid has helped provide exceptional legal services to low-income New Yorkers.

Since 2015, Fried Frank has worked with the Legal Aid Society to ensure access to justice for low-income New Yorkers. This year, a Fried Frank real estate team negotiated a new commercial lease for the Legal Aid Society, consolidating their operations and setting them up for years to come. Other Fried Frank volunteers assisted Legal Aid immigration clients in applications for naturalization and for DACA renewal, advising Immigration Hotline callers seeking counsel concerning changing immigration laws.
