Aleris Corporation’s US$2.6 billion pending acquisition by Novelis, Inc. was selected to the Global Competition Review (GCR) Awards 2020 shortlist in the “Merger control matter of the year – Europe” category. The GCR Awards honor the world’s top antitrust lawyers, academics, economists, and government enforcers for their work. The “Merger control matter of the year – Europe” category recognizes creative, strategic, and innovative competition work for a client on a landmark merger control matter in Europe.
