Fried Frank Chairman David J. Greenwald Shares Statement in Support of Asian Americans

News releases | March 18, 2021

Fried Frank Chairman David J. Greenwald shared the following statement on behalf of the Firm:

The appalling murders of eight people in Atlanta this week is sickening.  The fact that six of the victims were Asian women has led many to conclude that the violence was another horrific example of the increasing number of attacks against Asian Americans over the last year.  The racist rhetoric used by some to describe the COVID-19 virus has resulted in growing violence towards Asian Americans.  No one should ever live in fear of being subject to racially motivated abuse.
Fried Frank stands firmly with all Asian Americans and condemns all forms of discrimination and racism.  Diversity, inclusiveness, and the rights of the individual are key tenets of the Fried Frank culture.  The Firm is committed to providing an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and has a sense of belonging.  This is only possible if we, as individuals and a community, continue to stand up to intolerance and condemn hatred and bigotry.

Firm Chairman
