Media mentions | December 13, 2021

Corporate senior counsel Gail Weinstein, litigation special counsel Karen T. Grisez, litigation associate Kelly E. Deibler, and litigation law clerk Jonathan Bash were featured in the December edition of the ABA Commission on Immigration’s Pro Bono Success Stories. The article highlights the pro bono services these individuals provided to the ABA South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR), specifically in relation to the Fried Frank team receiving notice that the Board of Immigration Appeals upheld an immigration judge’s grant of cancellation of removal, ending the Firm client’s nearly three-year fight to avoid deportation and separation from his family. Fried Frank is a long-term pro bono partner of the ABA Commission on Immigration and ProBAR. ProBAR is a project that provides legal information, pro se assistance and pro bono representation to thousands of immigrants and asylum-seekers in remote South Texas each year.
