Litigation special counsel and Washington, DC resident public service counsel Karen T. Grisez will participate in a panel titled “Ethical Issues and Immigration Law” at the “Defending Immigration Removal Proceedings 2021” program hosted by the Practising Law Institute. At this program, expert practitioners will provide a comprehensive, nuts and bolts overview of potential avenues for relief and best practices for defending immigrants facing removal proceedings. The panel will cover topics such as ethical issues and immigration law, duty of communication, the role of attorney as advisor, potential conflicts, and best practices when ethical issues arise.
