Do subscription facilities purr – or do they roar?

Articles | January 27, 2020

Global Legal Insights (GLI) published a thought leadership chapter, written by corporate partners Kathryn Cecil, Jons F. Lehmann, and Jan Sysel, in Fund Finance 2020 (Fourth Edition). The chapter provides an updated perspective on the global subscription financing market since Fried Frank's chapter titled, “Not Your Garden Variety: Subscription Facilities Around the World” in Fund Finance 2019 (Third Edition) was released. It looks at the breadth of the types of subscription financings and trends currently in the marketplace by examining select aspects of facilities for various kinds of investment funds in the US and UK markets.
The GLI series provides essential insights into current legal issues, providing readers with expert analysis of legal, economic and policy developments through the eyes of the world's leading lawyers. Fund Finance 2020 covers legal trends and developments in the greater fund finance markets for law firms, financial institutions, funds, and investors. The GLI series is one of the brands under the Global Legal Group (GLG), which is an independent, London-based media company specializing in the legal market. Their publications have a global reach of over 140 jurisdictions, have involved over 1,300 law firms, and cover more than 50 practice areas, including lending and secured finance, private equity, and other investment funds.
