In 2009, Rob represented Macklowe Properties in the sale of the General Motors Building in New York City to Boston Properties for US$2.8 billion, the largest price ever paid for the purchase of a single building in US history.

Rob has also represented landlords and tenants in millions of square feet of leasing transactions. He represented BlackRock as tenant in its 850,000-square-foot headquarters relocation in New York City, and Google, as tenant, in virtually all of its leases in New York City. Rob has also represented The Related Companies as landlord in almost all of the leases signed at Hudson Yards, including the 1.5 million-square-foot lease to Facebook, and represented SL Green Realty Corp., as landlord, in its leasing at One Vanderbilt Avenue, the iconic building located next to Grand Central.

Rob is a guest lecturer at Harvard Law School and Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. He served two terms as a member of our Governance Committee.
