Richard Ansbacher represents clients in the formation and structuring of US and international investments and advises on other aspects of asset management.
For more than 30 years, global private equity funds and fund sponsors have sought Richard’s counsel for fund formation matters, including regulatory compliance, tax structuring, employee compensation, and general corporate matters. Richard has also represented sponsors of and cornerstone investors in the formation of hedge funds, real estate funds, various types of hybrid funds, funds of funds, and investment management companies.
Richard regularly works on various fund products, fund investments, and fund-related transactions for such clients as Permira, Blue Owl (Dyal), Neuberger Berman (Almanac, and the Private Credit Groups), BlackRock, Goldman Sachs (including as placement agent for third-party funds), Point72, Weld North, BentallGreenOak, Orangewood, and SquareMile.

Outside of his regular client representations, Richard served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School from 2014 to 2019, and he regularly teaches and provides pro bono services as part of the Operation Hope Entrepreneurship Training Program.
