Xenia Garofalo Named Philanthropist of the Year by AFP

Tax associate Xenia Garofalo has been named Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) Washington, DC, chapter for her longstanding work with human services organizations that address the root causes of social and systemic inequities.

Ms. Garofalo is dedicated to bridging the gap for those in the Washington, DC, community with untapped potential by directing philanthropic efforts and personal resources to organizations that support such individuals. She co-led a Fried Frank fundraising campaign for the benefit of four organizations that support social justice causes for Black Americans, and also serves as an officer on the board of directors for the human services organization Northern Virginia Family Service.
