Accolades | January 26, 2022

Tax partner Robert Cassanos was appointed to serve as chair of the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) Tax Section, which announced the news at its annual conference in January 2022. Mr. Cassanos has been an active member of the Executive Committee for more than a decade and, in his role as chair, he will oversee efforts to improve laws, address professional development, and sponsor continuing legal education courses in a variety of substantive fields.

The NYSBA Tax Section is widely respected among both practitioners and government officials for providing nonpartisan thought leadership, particularly around new tax rules and regulations, at the federal, state, and city levels. Past chairs have included some of New York's most prominent tax practitioners, including over the years former Fried Frank tax partners Martin Ginsburg, Arthur Feder, and Richard Loengard, Jr.
