Media mentions | September 15, 2017

Finance partner Jan Sysel was quoted in a Private Equity International article (subscription required) recapping a Subscription Line Finance Roundtable, part of the 1st Annual Asia-Pacific Fund Finance Symposium held in Hong Kong and sponsored by Private Equity International (PEI) Asia, in partnership with the Fund Finance Association (FFA). The discussion centered on the debate surrounding fund level subscription finance, and addressed topics such as the benefits of subscription financing and transparency of usage by sponsors, and the general acceptance and guidance of usage by investors in private equity and other funds. On the growing market of lenders and on positives to be gained for fund managers, Mr. Sysel noted, “There are certainly significant advantages to existing relationships, but it is a positive development in the sense there are more choices for borrowers. I’d advise fund clients to, when appropriate, shop around and see what terms they can get."
