Martin A. Hewitt Appointed as a Commissioner to ABA’s Commission on Law and Aging

Corporate special counsel Martin A. Hewitt has been appointed to serve as a commissioner to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Commission on Law and Aging. Mr. Hewitt’s term will begin with the adjournment of the 2020 Annual Meeting of the ABA in August. The Commission on Law and Aging is a collaborative and interdisciplinary leader of the ABA’s work to strengthen and secure the legal rights, dignity, autonomy, quality of life, and quality of care of aging persons. As a commissioner, Mr. Hewitt will aim to accomplish this work through research, policy development, advocacy, education, training, and through assistance to lawyers, bar associations, and other groups working on issues of aging.
