Limiting Options for Corporate Crime Victims Under Federal Restitution Law

New York Law Journal published an article by litigation partner Evan T. Barr and litigation associate Arthur Kutoroff discussing a recent decision by the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, United States v. Afriyie, which held that corporate victims may no longer seek restitution for costs associated with responding to SEC investigations, even though they frequently run closely parallel to many white-collar criminal matters.
