Fried Frank Recognized in The Deal’s Top 50 Private Equity Advisors List

Fried Frank was recognized in The Deal’s second annual list of top 50 private equity firms for the Firm’s representation of Onex Partners and Permira. The Deal compiles the chart by identifying 50 of the largest and most transactionally active PE sponsors and the law firms and lawyers that have done the most M&A work for the PE firms between 2016 and 2018.
 
The Firm has represented Onex Partners and Permira on some of their most complex transactions. Examples include acting as counsel to Onex Partners in its in its acquisition of a 42% interest in Ryan, LLC for US$317 million and its acquisition of a stake in PowerSchool Group LLC from Vista Partners. In addition, the Firm represented Permira in both its acquisition of Cisco’s Service Provider Video Software Solutions business and its US$350 million equity investment in WeddingWire, and, subsequently, represented WeddingWire in its US$933 million combination with XO Group.
