Fried Frank Receives Washington Council of Lawyers 2020 Law Firm Award

The Firm is being recognized for its dedication to pro bono work and culture, and partnership with WCL on various initiatives and advocacy projects. This year, Fried Frank provided pro bono assistance to WCL in connection with testimony for a Civil Justice Roundtable before the Washington, DC Council, and advocacy to the Washington, DC Court of Appeals on the issue of diploma privilege, among various other local advocacy projects. Additionally, the Firm is honored for its support of WCL’s programs, including its Best Practices in Pro Bono breakfast series, which the Firm has hosted for several years.
Litigation special counsel and Washington, DC resident public service counsel Karen T. Grisez also received special recognition for her longtime dedication and commitment to WCL as an active member of its Board of Directors and Pro Bono and Public-Interest Committee.
Washington Council of Lawyers is the public-interest bar association for the District of Columbia, which works to promote pro bono service and public-interest law, expand access to justice, and create a vibrant public-interest-minded community throughout Washington, DC.
