Fried Frank Receives Perfect Score on HRC Foundation’s Scorecard for LGBTQ Workplace Equality

The 2019 CEI rated 1,028 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. The Firm’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

In addition to maintaining inclusive policies, Fried Frank’s LGBTQ Resource Group hosts the annual Michael R. Diehl Civil Rights Forum, which brings civil rights leaders, colleagues, and clients, together with Firm employees to discuss the most pressing social justice matters facing the community, including issues of LGBTQ rights. The Firm also sponsors the Lavender Law Career Fair and Conference of the National LGBT Bar Association. Fried Frank’s robust pro bono program, a core tenet of the Firm’s mission, provides legal counsel on matters involving family law, marriage equality, gender identity, asylum, HIV status, and other LGBTQ-related issues.
