Fried Frank-Counseled Matter Selected as a Recipient of 2019 ULI Global Award for Excellence by Urban Land Institute

Urban Land Institute (ULI) selected the Cornell Tech Campus framework plan and phase one site development, a matter on which Fried Frank served as counsel, as one of its eleven winners for the 2019 ULI Global Awards for Excellence. The ULI program is widely recognized as one of the development industry’s most prestigious award recognitions. The winners this year, each of which demonstrate a comprehensive level of quality and a forward-looking approach to development and design, include seven projects in the United States, three in Asia, and one in Europe. According to ULI’s feature, the Cornell Tech Campus represents a new model for higher education in the United States, with a New York City Economic Development Corporation analysis projecting that the campus will generate more than US$7.5 billion in economic activity and spur US$23 billion in overall economic activity in the next 30 years.
