CFTC Adopts Part 4 Rule Amendments to Codify Certain CPO and CTA Relief

At an open meeting on November 25, 2019, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission” or “CFTC”) voted to adopt certain amendments to its Part 4 Rules, which govern the operations and activities of commodity pool operators (“CPOs”) and commodity trading advisors (“CTAs”), in two separate releases. This memorandum is intended to provide a brief, high-level overview of the most significant aspects of these amendments.
