Shareholder Claims under English Law

Distilling Disputes Series | January 4, 2023

Presented by Fried Frank’s Disputes team, the Distilling Disputes series uses data and graphics to draw out the strategic issues which clients face when litigating disputes in the English Courts and in international commercial and investment arbitration. The sixth edition provides insights into claims which can be brought by shareholders against other shareholders under English law. In particular, it focuses on two of the principal claims which can be pursued in the English Courts: the unfair prejudice petition and the derivative claim.

Fried Frank’s multi-disciplinary team of barristers and solicitors has extensive experience of advising and acting for shareholders in relation to a broad range of shareholder disputes governed by English law involving parties from across the world, in respect of public and private companies, and in particular in proceedings involving unfair prejudice petitions, derivative claims and claims under shareholders’ agreements.  Please find our sixth edition here.
