Coronavirus Act 2020: Emergency legislation and its business implications

In response to the developing COVID-19 pandemic, the UK government has introduced emergency legislation this week in the form of the Coronavirus Act 2020. The new legislation has a number of important implications for businesses, as legal powers extend across corporate governance, real estate and litigation procedures more generally. Fried Frank’s Coronavirus Task Force has summarised the key provisions and business implications that should be considered at this time.
