Comment Deadline Set for April 25, 2022 on Private Fund Adviser Proposed Rules

Client memorandum | March 28, 2022

The proposed rules for private fund advisers that the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) announced last month have now been published in the Federal Register, setting the comment deadline for April 25, 2022. The SEC had originally set the comment deadline as the later of April 11, 2022 or 30 days after the proposed rules were published in the Federal Register. For more information on the proposed rules, please see our prior Memorandum to Our Clients and Friends. A number of industry groups, as well as the New York City Bar Association, have requested that the SEC extend the comment deadline.
