Fried Frank advised leading software provider Serviceware SE (“Serviceware”) in connection with its acquisition of cubus AG (“cubus”).
Serviceware SE is a leading provider of software solutions for digitizing and automating service processes with more than 800 customers from a wide range of industries, including nine DAX-listed companies and four of the seven largest German companies. The acquisition of cubus is Serviceware's second takeover since its IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in April 2018.
As a leading software provider in the fields of corporate performance management and business intelligence, the cubus software enables companies to analyse their financial KPIs and prepare viable plans, forecasts and simulations. More than 40 per cent of cubus' turnover is generated outside of Germany, and the company has more than 160 customers, including well-known US companies.
Last year, Serviceware extended its integrated ESM platform by acquiring the knowledge management specialist SABIO, and the Fried Frank team also advised on this transaction.
The Fried Frank team was led by corporate partner Dr. Jürgen van Kann and included German tax partner Katrin Gänsler and corporate special counsel Dr. Peter Breschendorf and Thorsten H. Stuecklin.
