Argos Wityu Invests in Wibit Sports

Fried Frank advised owner and sellers of Wibit Sports GmbH (Wibit) on the sale and co-investment with independent pan-European private equity group, Argos Wityu. The investment will accelerate Wibit Sports' international expansion plans and diversify its successful business model. The founders of Wibit will continue to lead the company, based in Bocholt, Germany.

Wibit is the market leader in producing floating water play parks made from inflatable PVC modules, which are used in lakes, open waters on coastlines, and swimming pools in over 90 countries. To date, the company has produced and installed approximately 600 water parks, attracting over 30 million users, with the largest park having a capacity of 500 people. The company was founded in 1996 and has evolved from producing trampolines to entire sports parks. The company remains unchallenged in the self-established industry.

The transaction is expected to close in early November.
