Douglas W. Baruch Quoted in The Washington Post on US Army’s Discharge Reversal

Litigation partner Douglas W. Baruch was quoted in The Washington Post as counsel to a citizenship-seeking Army reservist from Brazil who had been discharged by the US Army. The Firm's client was recruited to the Army under the Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest (MAVNI) program which promised expedited citizenship for foreign recruits with in-demand language and medical skills, and his discharge would have interrupted his path to citizenship. Following arguments from Fried Frank that the Army violated its own policies as well as the constitutional protections of due process, the Army reversed its decision.
