Jonathan L. Mechanic Moderates Breakfast Panel on Brooklyn’s Renaissance

Jonathan L. Mechanic, chairman of Fried Frank's Real Estate Department, led a breakfast panel discussion on “Brooklyn as the center of a real estate revolution” on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. The event, produced by the Commercial Observer and held in Brooklyn's Industry City, covered topics such as the primary drivers for Brooklyn's renaissance to date, the importance of REAP credit and other incentives in luring Manhattan tenants to relocate to Brooklyn, the future growth of Brooklyn's neighborhoods, and the influx tech companies and start-ups to Brooklyn. Following the event, guests were treated to a walking tour of Industry City, which included previews of vacant spaces and its dynamic group floor retail options.
 
Panelists included industry leaders Jim Brett (West Elm), Joseph Cirone (Cushman & Wakefield), Ofer Cohen (TerraCRG), MaryAnne Gilmartin (Forest City Ratner Companies) and Andrew Kimball (Industry City).
