 Fried Frank Recognized for Role in 2015 China Law & Practice Awards “Outbound Deal of the Year” Finalist

The 2015 China Law & Practice Awards 2015 recognized Fried Frank's role in Anbang Insurance Group's US$1.95 billion purchase of the Waldorf Astoria New York from Hilton Worldwide Holdings, a transaction that was named a finalist for the publication's “Outbound Deal of the Year.” China Law & Practice, together with The American Lawyer, “recognized those involved in the most exciting and creative transactions of the past year, the best firms that excelled in their practice areas and the lawyers that stood above the rest in their respective fields.”
 
Fried Frank, along with Skadden and Greenberg Traurig, served as co-counsel to Anbang. The Fried Frank team included real estate partners Jonathan L. Mechanic, Franz R. Rassman and David Karnovsky and tax partner Robert Cassanos.
