Fried Frank Recognized in Global Competition Review's 2015 Survey of Washington, DC Antitrust Practices

Global Competition Review’s 2015 survey of antitrust law practices in Washington, DC listed Fried Frank’s Antitrust and Competition Practice in the “Recommended” category. GCR highlighted antitrust and competition partner and chair Bernard (Barry) A. Nigro Jr.’s role in advising on Merck’s US$14.2 billion sale of its consumer care unit to Bayer, Harris Teeter’s sale to food retail giant Kroger and television broadcaster Media General’s acquisition of LIN Media.

The publication also noted Mr. Nigro and partner Richard C. Park’s work on behalf of Van Wagner Communications’ in the US$690 million sale of its billboard business to CBS Outdoor, Mr. Park overcoming a motion to dismiss on behalf of plaintiff Orbital Sciences in an exclusive-dealing claim, and associate Maria R.
