Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced today that David Karnovsky, who has served as general counsel to the New York City Department of City Planning since 1999, will join the Firm in March as a partner in the Real Estate Department. Mr. Karnovsky brings deep experience and expertise in land use, zoning and real estate development to the Firm's practice.

Mr. Karnovsky received his JD from Harvard Law School and his BA from Wesleyan University.
