Fried Frank Real Estate Practice Named Law360 2012 Practice Group of the Year

For the second consecutive year, Fried Frank is a recipient of Law360's Real Estate Group of the Year award, which recognizes firms for their work on large, significant or complex matters over the past year.

In a profile featuring interviews with real estate partners Jonathan  Mechanic and Melanie Meyers, Law360 highlighted the Firm's high-profile representations of Cornell University in its agreement to develop a US$2 billion science campus on New York City's Roosevelt Island; Forest City Ratner in the development of Atlantic Yards and the US$1 billion Barclays Center; and Morgan Stanley in expanding its lease at One New York Plaza, the largest lease deal of the year.

"What makes the practice unique is there is an unbelievable pool of  talent all located in one place, with different specialties and experience that cover all aspects of a project," Mr. Mechanic told Law360. “This is a place where people feel very proud of the group they're in."
