James McCullough speaks with National Law Journal about the rise in government contract bid protests

Washington, DC litigation partner James McCullough is quoted in a National Law Journal article on the rise of government contracts work in 2009. The article reports that the increase can be attributed to a change in the law that expanded the types of bids that can be protested. Noting the theory that in a down economy companies are more likely to fight for business, Mr. McCullough also attributed the change to, "the expectation that the Obama administration will tighten the reins on government spending... Companies feel like there's not necessarily going to be a new contract opportunity the next quarter."
