Jewish Foundation for Group Homes Honors Fried Frank Lawyers for Pro Bono Efforts

On June 17, 2008, New York retired partner and of counsel Robert Juceam, Washington DC special counsel Karen Grisez and Washington DC associate Dominic Arni, along with the Fried Frank, will be honored by the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes with the "Rock the Law" Award for Outstanding Achievement of Pro Bono Causes. The award ceremony will be held at The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA's Historic District. Fried Frank will be recognized for its outstanding pro bono efforts on behalf of people with disabilities, particularly for the Firm's representation of Malik Jarno, a mentally challenged orphan from Guinea, in his effort to seek asylum in the United States. The Johnny Esquire Band, a rock benefit band that includes two Washington DC partners -- band co-founder Thomas Vartanian, who plays the guitar, and Jack Gordon, who plays the bass – will donate its time to provide live music throughout the evening.
