Firm noted for pro bono representation of Eldridge Street Synagogue Mann Report, "Fried Frank Provides Legal Services for the Eldridge Street Project"

The Mann Report, in an article entitled "Fried Frank Provides Legal Services for the Eldridge Street Project" in its March issue, notes that "Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson [LLP] announced that they will be on hand to offer pro-bono legal representation for The Eldridge Street Project during the renovations of the Eldridge Street Synagogue, one of the oldest Jewish Synagogues in Lower Manhattan. The Eldridge Street Project, a not-for-profit cultural organization, has undertaken a massive restoration of the Eldridge Street Synagogue and the creation of a multi-faceted heritage center on site. The synagogue, which was once one of the busiest synagogues on the Lower East Side, closed the sanctuary in the 1950's due to dwindling membership. [Working on this pro bono matter are partners Jonathan Mechanic and Lee Parks and special counsel Joelle Halperin.]
