Partner Deborah Garza noted as chairwoman of U.S. Antitrust Modernization Commission, The Daily Deal, "New Panel Could Reshape Merger Law"

In the July 14th Daily Deal, an article entitled "New Panel Could Reshape Merger Law" notes that "[f]or the first time in the professional lives of most of the antitrust bar, a congressionally chartered commission is preparing a comprehensive review of U.S. competition policy. The Antitrust Modernization Commission will hold its first meeting Thursday, July 15, with the first order of business to figure out what the panel should do for the next three years. The group's 12 commissioners are likely to get a flood of suggestions, especially from critics on both ends of the spectrum who believe U.S. antitrust enforcers have either overstepped or undershot their mandate....Deborah A. Garza, a partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in Washington, is chairing the commission."
