Fried Frank is pleased to announce that it has elected three new partners, Jerry Walter, Sian Withey and David Sheldon. They will join the firm with four associates and will be based in our London office.
Jerry Walter joins from Simmons & Simmons, where he has been head of the corporate practice in London since 1996; the other members of the team are from Ashurst's mergers and acquisitions/private equity group, except for Sian Withey, who is from its capital markets group.
The team has extensive expertise and experience in European M&A, private equity and corporate and capital markets transactions and will work closely with Fried Frank's corresponding practices in New York, Washington, DC, Paris and Frankfurt. Justin Spendlove, managing partner, Europe, says: "This is a big step in developing Fried Frank's European corporate and M&A capability and in building a leading European practice."
Valerie Ford Jacob, Fried Frank's co-managing partner, says: "We are particularly pleased to have been able to assemble a team that so well represents Fried Frank's commitment to Europe and our intention to combine experience, quality, energy and determination to support our clients in Europe and the United States. We offer an exciting opportunity for lawyers to participate in that enterprise."
