David M. McDonald is corporate special counsel resident in Fried Frank’s New York office. He joined the Firm in 2007.
Mr. McDonald concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and venture capital investments, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, private securities and debt offerings and joint ventures; media and technology transactions, software development and licensing, celebrity endorsement licensing, content syndication, sales and distribution relationships, and general commercial contracts and corporate counseling.
Mr. McDonald has prior experience as general counsel at an internet advertising firm, responsible for coordinating and supervising venture, bridge and strategic financings, vendor and supplier arrangements, technology development and licensing transactions, employee matters, board matters and structuring and implementing promotional giveaways. His experience includes serving as outside general counsel to numerous internet start-ups, guiding these fledgling companies through multiple rounds of venture financing, strategic transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
