joined the Firm in 2004 and was a corporate partner in Fried Frank's London office. In March 2014, he became of counsel upon his retirement from active practice as a partner.
Mr. Walter's practice focused on mergers and acquisitions with a particular emphasis on the communications, transportation, energy and leisure sectors, and with considerable experience of handling restructuring and insolvency matters. Mr. Walter advised extensively on business transactions in the European Union, the Middle East and US, acting for public and private companies and investment funds, as well as governmental agencies. His clients included Goldman Sachs, Virgin Media, Deutsche Bahn, MRC Global, Thomson Reuters, AEA Investors, Aleris, Humana, Pregis, Coach and Houghton International. He also advised various Middle Eastern clients, both on matters in the Gulf and on UK investments.
