is of counsel resident in the New York office. Ms. Steingart joined the Firm in 1980 and became a partner in 1986.
Ms. Steingart concentrates her practice in restructurings, regulatory issues, and transactional and litigation matters. She has served as lead counsel in numerous restructuring matters on behalf of debtors, creditor committees, equity committees, individual institutional creditors and third-party purchasers including in AAIPharma, Inc., Adelphia Communications Corp., Conseco, Inc., Delphi Corporation, Loews Cineplex Entertainment Corporation, New World Pasta Company, and NTL Incorporated. She also served as outside legal counsel to the New York State Insurance Department in connection with the restructuring of the monoline insurers.
From 1997 to 1999, Ms. Steingart served with the New York State Department of Insurance as Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel.
