Mr. Mermelstein's practice includes the representation of financial institutions, owners, developers and offshore investors in connection with financings, joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, development and construction, and fund formations. He also has extensive experience in assisting clients in sophisticated out-of court loan restructurings and workouts with a concentration of restructuring experience in office buildings, assisted living facilities and hotels.
Among the clients Mr. Mermelstein acts for regularly are Brookfield Office Properties, Brookfield Asset Management, RXR Realty, China Investment Corporation, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, Firmdale Hotels and Atria Assisted Living.
