Arthur S. Kaufman
joined Fried Frank as a partner in 1985 and founded the Firm's financing group which he headed until he retired as a partner in 2010.
Mr. Kaufman has represented Fortune 500 companies and other public and private issuers and financial institutions in connection with a wide variety of financing transactions. He has been instrumental in the development of financings for acquisitions and leveraged buyouts, and innovative financing structures for insurance sidecars and other insurance vehicles.
Mr. Kaufman has been a member of the adjunct faculty at the Columbia University School of Law since 2003, conducting a Deals Workshop in Acquisition and Corporate Finance, which, in its combination of corporate and securities law and practical business applications, has been recognized as a unique development in legal education, and teaching an Advanced Bankruptcy Seminar.
