Marina Besignano is an associate in Fried Frank's Asset Management Practice. She joined the Firm in 2016 and is currently on secondment in the Firm's New York office.
Ms. Besignano advises fund sponsors, investors and financial institutions on a wide range of fund raising and compliance issues relating to cross-border alternative investment funds.
She has acted for clients across many asset classes, including infrastructure, credit, private equity, insurance, real estate and real estate debt. She also advises in relation to carried interest and co-investment incentive schemes and has experience with hedge funds, hybrid funds and managed accounts. Her main clients include BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Bain Capital, Neuberger Berman, Permira, Danske and LGT, as well as first time fund sponsors.
Previously, Ms. Besignano was an associate with an international law firm, where she helped structure private equity, infrastructure and real estate funds and acted for global clients such as Triton, Capital Dynamics, Patron Capital and Electra Partners. She also gained specific experience with renewable energy funds.
