Joelle Halperin is a Special Counsel in the Real Estate Department resident in the New York Office.
Ms. Halperin's practice focuses on the representation of sellers and purchasers of commercial, multi-family, retail and hospitality properties, landlords and tenants in leasing transactions, financing, workout and bankruptcies.
Prior to returning to Fried Frank, Ms. Halperin was Managing Director – Real Estate General Counsel at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. where she oversaw the workout and disposition of Lehman's global multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio. She also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York and was Associate General Counsel at Bellemead Development Corporation.
