John A. Borek is special counsel in the Litigation Department and Managing Attorney resident in Fried Frank's New York office. He joined the Firm in 1984.
Mr. Borek's practice in federal and state courts has included trials, appeals, extensive motion practice, and all phases of discovery. His experience includes a broad range of general commercial, securities, insurance, real estate, construction, products liability, trusts and estates, and environmental litigation issues.
In his role as Managing Attorney, Mr. Borek provides substantive and procedural advice and assistance to Firm attorneys in connection with litigated matters. He acts as a primary point of contact between Firm attorneys and the courts, and is heavily involved in the training and development of litigation attorneys. He also supervises a professional staff responsible for oversight of the litigation docket, service and filing of court papers, and other litigation support tasks.
The Association of the Bar of the City of New York presented him with the Champion of Justice Award for Outstanding Public Service.
