Rebecca C. Freeland is special counsel in the Tax Department, resident in Fried Frank's Washington, DC office.
Ms. Freeland's practice focuses on federal income taxation, with particular emphasis on partnership taxation and the structuring and formation of private equity and hedge funds, including funds focused on equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate, and energy assets. She has advised both fund sponsors and investors on the preparation and negotiation of fund disclosure, organizational documents, and side letter agreements.
Ms. Freeland received her JD from Yale Law School in 2010, and her BA, with distinction, from Stanford University in 2004. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York.
