Ryan Bathie is a real estate special counsel resident in Fried Frank's New York office. He joined the Firm in 2011.
Mr. Bathie regularly acts for owners, developers, financial institutions, corporations, and investors in a diverse array of commercial real estate transactions. He regularly advises purchasers and sellers on the acquisition and disposition of hotel, office, and retail properties. In addition he negotiates large commercial leases for landlords and tenants, arranges complex financings and restructurings on behalf of borrowers and lenders and facilitates ground-up developments. He also has a strong emphasis in hotel and resort development and hospitality transactions, including hotel acquisitions and dispositions, development and finance, mixed-use development projects, hotel management agreements, branded residential projects, restaurants agreements and general hotel operation matters throughout the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Mr. Bathie's representative clients include Goldman Sachs, Related Companies, SL Green, Normandy Real Estate Partners, HFZ, Richemont, Coach, Cornell University, and Tishman Hotel and Realty, among others.
Prior to joining Fried Frank, Mr. Bathie was admitted to practice and lived and worked in Abu Dhabi where his practice focused primarily on representing hotel operators in connection with hotels throughout the Middle East.
