Dr. Jan Thomas Petersen
is a corporate law and litigation specialist resident in the Firm's Frankfurt office. He joined the Firm in 2011.
His focus is on litigation and mergers and acquisitions. He advises and represents companies with respect to setup, restructuring, acquisitions, and shareholder disputes, as well as board members with respect to management liability issues. His areas of expertise comprise international mergers & acquisitions, corporate matters, as well as advice and representation before courts and authorities on IP matters and IP dispute resolution.
Dr. Petersen is a qualified lawyer for commercial and corporate law ("Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht").
Dr. Jan Thomas Petersen is co-author of handbooks on Management of Stock Corporations (“Vorstand der AG", ESV, 2nd edition 2012), and on Real Estate Transactions ("Immobilientransaktionen," ESV, 2nd edition 2014).
Dr. Petersen is a member of the German-American Lawyers‘ Association and the German-Spanish Lawyers‘ Association.
