Real Estate partners Jonathan L. Mechanic and Ross Z. Silver will be participating in the PLI's Negotiating Real Estate Deals 2017 program. Mr. Mechanic will be speaking on two different panel discussions throughout this seminar. The first panel, “State of the Real Estate Market,” will focus on the current state of the real estate market, how and what has recently changed and what the rest of 2017 will look like. The second panel that Mr. Mechanic will be participating in, “Special Servicing – Buying and Selling Real Estate Owned Properties (REO),” will address the legal issues when buying and selling REO, the Special Servicer's perspective and the potential buyer's perspective.

Mr. Silver will be a speaker on the “Closing Complex Real Estate Transactions – Successfully Closing Purchase and Sale Transactions” panel. This panel will cover a variety of topics such as how to manage the due diligence process, how to outline covenants of Purchaser and Seller to govern the contract period, how to establish conditions to the parties' obligations to close and how to manage the closing process, to name a few.
