David J. Greenwald Elected to Columbia University’s Board of Trustees

Fried Frank Chairman David J. Greenwald has been elected to Columbia University's Board of Trustees. In this role, Mr. Greenwald will join several other prominent alumni in their responsibilities to the University, including selecting the President, overseeing all faculty and senior administrative appointments, monitoring the budget, supervising the endowment, and protecting university property. Mr. Greenwald received a JD from Columbia Law School in 1983. He is a member of the Dean's Council of Columbia Law School and is a frequent guest speaker at the law school's events.
 
Prior to his role as Chairman, Mr. Greenwald served as deputy general counsel and the international general counsel at Goldman Sachs. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Society, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Third Way, and Lincoln Center Theater.
