Lisa A. Levy is of counsel resident in Fried Frank's New York office. She joined the Firm in 1993 and became a partner in 1998.
Ms. Levy is an expert in domestic and cross-border tax issues relating to capital markets and financing transactions. She regularly represents US and foreign issuers, borrowers, private equity funds and investment banks in a variety of transactions, such as equity and debt offerings, mezzanine and high-yield securities, hybrid securities and tender offers, including offerings by REITs, business development companies and foreign shipping companies. She also has significant experience advising on private equity fund formations, asset and insurance securitizations and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Levy has been recognized by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and Legal 500 as a leading individual in Tax. In 2010, she was selected by Tax Notes as one of the finalists for its "Person of the Year" award. Ms. Levy also received a Cornerstone Award from Lawyers Alliance for New York in 2013 in recognition of her pro bono work.
