Nathaniel L. Asker is a partner in the Antitrust Department, resident in Fried Frank’s New York office.
Mr. Asker focuses on antitrust aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures and represents clients before the US Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission. He has advised clients in a range of industries, including technology and software, consumer products, aerospace and defense, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, energy, and financial services, among others.
Mr. Asker is recognized by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business as “Up and Coming” in Antitrust, where he is described as "absolutely outstanding, "very strong analytically," and "incredibly responsive." Mr. Asker was also selected as a “Future Leader” by Who's Who Legal: Competition and is recognized by Legal 500 in Antitrust: Merger Control. He has been listed as a “Rising Star” in the 2013 through 2016 New York – Metro editions of Super Lawyers.
Mr. Asker has authored or co-authored articles that have appeared in publications including Concurrences, the M&A Lawyer, Competition Law International, and the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation. He is also a co-author of Fried Frank’s Antitrust and Competition Law Alert®, which reports on significant developments in antitrust and competition law.
Mr. Asker currently serves on the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and is a member of the Antitrust Sections of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
